    Philippe Vallée

    Philippe Vallée has been CEO of Gemalto since September 2016 and since April 2, 2019, he is also Executive Vice-President, Digital & Security of Thales. Prior to this he was the Company's Chief Operating Officer, with operational responsibility for all the Company's businesses (from January 2014 to August 2016), and EVP of Gemalto Telecommunications Business Unit ( from 2007 to-2013). He previously served Gemplus then Gemalto, in a number of roles including various Product and Marketing management roles; SVP Marketing and then President of the Telecom BU, Chief Technology Officer. Besides France, Philippe has served several assignments in Hong Kong and Singapore. Philippe has over 25 years' experience in the Telecom industry.

    He began his career with Matra Communication (now Lagardère Group) as a product manager on the first generation of GSM mobile phones. Philippe has a degree in Engineering (Telecom and Microelectronics) from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble and is a graduate of the ESSEC Business School.

    Sébastien Cano  

    Sebastien Cano

    Sébastien Cano has held his current position since 2016 and has reported to the CEO since 2017. Based in Austin, Texas, he leads Gemalto's Enterprise & Cybersecurity Business Unit and drives the strategy for the company's industry-leading SafeNet Authentication, Encryption, and Software Monetization solutions. Previously, he served as President of Gemalto North America (2014-2016), responsible for all business operations across the region, and before that he managed the company's Telecommunications Business Unit in North America for five years. During these two previous assignments, he led the transformation of Gemalto into a leading provider of software, solutions and services to Fortune 500 Corporations.  Prior to these positions, he served Gemalto in a number of leadership roles including SVP Convergence Business Group in France, VP of Operations in Brazil during the country's EMV migration and General Manager of the Telecommunications Business Unit for southern Europe.

    Sébastien has a master's degree in Technology Management from Grenoble école de Management.

    David Jones

    David Jones has held his current position since April 2, 2019. Prior to this he served as Thales’ Senior Vice President, Digital Business Unit and CEO of Thales eSecurity. With 25 years of experience leading enterprise software startups, as well as multi-national companies like Cisco, HP and Iron Mountain, David is one of the foremost experts in digital transformation in the San Francisco Bay Area. David joined Thales in 2018 from Hewlett Packard Enterprise where he was Senior Vice President of the Security & Information Governance Business Unit. David holds an MBA from Stanford University with a concentration in marketing and operations and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from Tufts University. He lives in Palo Alto, California with his wife and four children.

    Bertrand Knopf has held his current position since 2017. Prior to this he was SVP Banking and Payment, North America (2014-2016). He previously held various positions for Axalto, then Gemalto in a number of areas including Sales, Marketing, R&D and Operations, and was based in France, South Africa, Germany and the US. He served across various industry segments including Telecom and IoT, and has nearly 20 years' experience in the Banking and Payment industry.

    Bertrand began his career with Schlumberger, in Oilfield Services (in Nigeria) and in Electricity Metering (in the UK).

    Bertrand has a degree in engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure de Techniques Avancees (ENSTA) and is a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris ("Sciences-Po").

    Frédéric Trojani

    Frédéric Trojani has had full responsibility for Gemalto's Civil Identity business since 2014 and has reported to the CEO since 2017. Under his guidance, Gemalto has achieved a leadership position in the secure identity market, with more than 100 client references worldwide. Prior to this, Frédéric served as Senior Vice President (SVP), Government Programs. His responsibilities included devising a strategic vision for Gemalto within the public sector and overseeing development of the full range of products, solutions and services. He spent five years in Finland (2006-2011) leading the successful integration of Setec Oy into the Gemalto Security Business Unit following the company's acquisition. In more than 30 years with the company, Frédéric has served in a variety of capacities at Schlumberger, Axalto and now Gemalto, including SVP Public Sector and Transport, SVP Marketing and Development and SVP/Managing Director, Telecom Systems & Solutions. As French Foreign Trade Advisor for Finland, Frédéric has helped foster business relationships between French and Finnish companies. He is also the Chairman of the Secure Identity Alliance (SIA) which helps governments to build and to roll out eGovernment Services?.

    Frédéric holds degrees in engineering, physics and signal processing from L'Institut de Chimie et de Physique Industrielle (ICPI).

    Emmanuel Unguran

    Emmanuel Unguran has held his current position since April 2, 2019. Prior to this he served as EVP Central Operations (2016-2018) and held the role of SVP of Manufacturing, Quality & Security (2005-2016), with responsibility for ensuring the efficiency and quality of Gemalto's manufacturing processes. In 22 years with the company, Emmanuel has held various management positions in France and Mexico notably Director of Operations in EMEA (2004-2005), R&D and Manufacturing Director (2003-2004), Director of Manufacturing, Americas (1999-2003), Engineering Manager (1997-1999). Emmanuel began his career in 1987 working in the Industrial and Automotive industries. He graduated with a Degree in Metallurgy from ENSAM (Ecole Nationale des Arts et Metiers) and completed the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD.

    Philippe Amar has held his current position since April 2, 2019. Prior to this he was VP Finance of the Avionics Business, Thales (2013-2019). He held the same role for the French activities of the current DMS and AVS Global Business Units (2010-2013) and in the company’s Aeronautical Division from 2009 to 2010. He joined Thales in 1985 (then Thomson SA) and served as Internal Auditor in charge of the Consumer Electronics and the Medical branches (1985-1987), foreign subsidiaries controller of the Medical Branch (1987-1988), Business Controller of the Air Traffic Management and Air Defense Division (1988-1995), then Chief Financial Officer of Thales Naval France (1995 -1998), VP Finance of Land & Joint Division (1998 - 2006), and Group Chief Audit Executive (2006 - 2009). Prior to joining Thales, he spent 3 years as an External Auditor at Touch Ross (now Deloitte), and 2 years as an Internal Auditor within Gervais Danone (BSN group at that time).

    Philippe has a Masters degree in Financial Management from Dauphine University, Paris and is a certified accountant.

    Eke Bijzitter has held her current position since January 2014. Prior to this she was Group Corporate Counsel and Deputy Company Secretary of Gemalto (2005-2013). Before joining Gemalto she held different positions as corporate counsel in the Netherlands. Eke Bijzitter is a graduate in law from the University of Groningen and a postgraduate in Corporate Structures from the Grotius Academie.

    Fabrice Bourdeix has held his current position since April 2, 2019. Prior to this, he was in charge of Digital Strategy & Corporate Development at Thales. From 2012 to 2017, he was Vice-President Strategy & Chief Technical Officer of Thales Secure Communications and Information Systems. He joined Thales in 2001 as Head of International Industry in Thales Information Systems and became General Manager of the Critical Information Systems Business in 2005. From 1996 to 2001, he was CEO of Internet security software vendor, Matranet in France and California. Between 1984 and 1993, he held various positions within the French Ministry of Industry before becoming Deputy Corporate Vice President Research & Technology at Lagardere. He is an Engineering graduate of école Polytechnique (1979) and Telecom ParisTech (1984). He holds the rank of Ingénieur en Chef of the Corps des Mines.

    Philippe Cambriel has held his current position since April 2, 2019. Prior to this he was EVP Corporate Projects and France (2017-2019), President, Europe, Mediterranean and CIS (2014-2017) and Executive Vice-President of Secure Transactions (2007-2014) at Gemalto. Following the merger of Axalto and Gemplus in 2006, Philippe managed the Banking & Security Product Line, before which he served as Vice-President of Smart Cards for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (2003-2006) and Vice-President of e-Transaction Cards (2001-2003) at Schlumberger. Philippe has held various other management positions over the years including Chief Officer, Sales and Marketing at Bull CP8, General Manager for IPC France and various sales and marketing positions at Compaq in France in Germany. He began his career at Aerospatiale in 1983. Philippe is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace (Sup'Aéro) and holds an MBA from INSEAD??.

    Isabelle Marand has held her current position since January 2014. Prior to this she was VP Corporate Communications (2010-2013) and VP Branding and Internal Communications (2006-2010) for Gemalto. Isabelle previously headed Axalto's communications department (2003-2006) and spent seven years in different marketing communications positions within Schlumberger. Before this she held various marketing and communications positions at Alcatel Business Systems (1989-1996). Isabelle Marand is a graduate from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce d'Amiens (Master in Management) and holds a degree in foreign languages from la Sorbonne Nouvelle University.

    Olivier Mas has held his current position since April 2, 2019. Prior to this he served as Vice President Legal heading the Corporate Transactions & Financing Legal Department of Thales with responsibility for M&A transactions, Financing, Company Law, Antitrust & Regulations. After beginning his career at a law firm in Paris in 1994, Olivier held various in-house positions in Framatome and Saint-Gobain. He joined Thales in 1998 and became General Counsel of Thales Corporate Ventures in 2000. From 2003 to 2007, he was Senior Counsel in the Thales M&A Department before taking the role of General Counsel of the Information Technology Security Business of Thales after the acquisition of nCipher in 2008. From 2010 to 2013 Olivier was based in Singapore and served as General Counsel & Compliance Officer for Asia. Olivier holds a Master II postgraduate diploma in Business Law from Université de Grenoble and a postgraduate Master in International Business Law and Management from ESCP Europe. He has been a sessional lecturer in Mergers & Acquisitions at Paris-Dauphine University since 2007.

    Marc Ribas

    Marc Ribas has held his current position since April 2, 2019. Prior to this he was in charge of Human Resources for Gemalto’s Business Units and Operations. From 2010 to 2016 he led Human Resources for the Mobile and IoT business and from 2004 to 2010 he was Head of Human Resources for Asia for Axalto (2004) and then Gemalto (2006). Before this he held various positions with Schlumberger Oil Field Services, as Compensation & Benefits Manager (France, 1994), then Regional Human Resources (Indonesia, 1996 then Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago, 1999). He also worked for SchlumbergerSema in London from 2001 to 2004. He is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques, Lyon with a Masters in Political Sciences as well as a Masters in Human Resource Management from Sorbonne University, Paris and CELSA.

    Eva Rudin has held her current position since January 2019. Prior to joining Gemalto, she served as EVP Strategy & Diversification at CGG. She started there in 2009 as SVP Sourcing & Supply Chain and two years later joined the Executive Committee as EVP Global Operational Excellence. In 2014 she was appointed EVP Marine Acquisition Business Line. Before moving to the Oil Field Service industry, she spent 16 years in the automotive sector. She worked for Volvo, Renault and Nissan in areas such as maintenance, process engineering, supply chain and sourcing. Eva has a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden as well as an INSEAD GMP (General Management Program).
